North Hills Hospital Donates to the Birdville Education Foundation |
North Hills Hospital recently donated $3,288 to the Birdville Education Foundation. The Foundation was chosen as a result of people signing up on North Hills Hospital's Facebook page and selecting the Foundation as their charity of choice. Watauga Elementary Principal Receives $6,000 Scholarship |
Sharon Heier, Watauga Elementary principal, has received The Dr. Evelyn L. Milam Scholarship 1 from The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. The honor society for women educators promotes excellence in education and personal and professional growth of women educators, leading in the field of graduate scholarships given to members and emphasizing leadership development for its more than 107,000 members in 17 countries.

Hall of Honor Golf Scramble |
Birdville ISD's Athletics Department is sponsoring a Hall of Honor Golf Scramble on May 10 at Diamond Oaks Country Club. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with a shot gun start at 1 p.m. There will be a dinner following at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $75 per player or $300 per team. Registration includes: green fee, cart, unlimited range balls, and dinner. Additional dinner tickets are $10 per person. The entry deadline is May 3. Proceeds from the golf scrabble benefit BISD athletes past, present and future. For information, call 817.547.5910.

Watauga Middle School's Fun Run |
Watauga Middle School's annual Fun Run is April 10. They are challenging all schools to form a team and participate for the wellness of BISD. The school with the most participants (walkers or runners) will win a beautiful prize for their teacher's lounge. > Registration form |
Congratulations to Birdville High School's boys and girls soccer teams for advancing to the third round of the UIL State Playoffs. The boys play Aledo at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 26 at Brewer High School, and the girls play Wichita Falls High at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 26 at Mineral Wells High. |
