SkillsUSA Students Participate in Soldiers Angels |
SkillsUSA students Skyler Schrader, Logan Ringley and Ryan Ward from the Birdville Center of Technology and
Advanced Learning adopted a soldier overseas through a program called Soldiers Angels. The soldier and the angel are paired at random and the angel also receives a mentor they can go to if they have any questions. The students mail encouraging letters each week, and once a month they send a care package that consists of items the soldier needs or things he specifically asks for. Schrader, Ringley and Ward feel it is their patriotic duty to support our military in even the smallest way. Their soldier will be coming home in April and they look forward to meeting each other.
