Earned Income Tax Credit
You may qualify for an Earned Income Tax Credit if your income falls into one of the following catagories:
  • Less than $43,279 ($48,279 married filing jointly) with three or more qualifying children;
  • Less than $40,295 ($45,295 married filing jointly) with two qualifying children;
  • Less than $35,463 ($40,463 married filing jointly) with one qualifying child; or 
  • Less than $13,440 ($18,440 married filing jointly) with no qualifying children.

Fine Art's Performances

HaltomHaltom High School's fine arts department will present "The Music Man" in the Haltom High Theater Jan. 30 - Feb. 2. Show times are:  Sunday, Jan. 31 at 3 p.m.; Monday, Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m.; and Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for students and $10 for adults. For tickets, call 817.547.6126.

RHS 2Richland High School's Chorale will present two concerts in preparation for their performance as an invited choir at the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Convention in San Antonio.  The public is invited to attend.  Admission is free. Performances are Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Birdville High School and Sunday, Feb. 7 at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Hurst. The Chorale will perform at TMEA at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 11 in the Texas Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Antonio.

Richland High School's TheatRebels will be presenting an educational theatre premiere, "PLAY BALL" at 7 p.m. Feb 4-6 and Feb 8, and 2 p.m. on Feb 7 in the auditorium. "PLAY BALL" is the 1927 script that was later developed in the Broadway smash musical "CHICAGO." Tickets are available at the door and are $5 for students and $8 for adults. All BISD employees receive on complimentary ticket. For information, call 817.547.7058.
