BISD Web LinkThe Communications Department produces the employee newsletter "e-nlightened" each week so that staff can keep in touch with what is going on across the district. E-mail your pictures and a brief description to Communications and we will include them as space permits. 
 
Please make sure that all phone messages reflect that the district will be closed for Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 7
 
Campus principals need to make sure that the campus voicemail messages reflect pertinent information for your campus.
 
2009-10 Calendar Revised
BISD's board of trustees has changed the second bad weather make up day on the 2009-10 school calendar from Saturday, April 17, 2010 to Friday, April 2, 2010.

Important Reminder from Tech Support
WHO - All users of e-mail
 
WHAT -  E-mail will be purged.  Only messages BEFORE June 1, 2009 will be purged from the system.  Your contacts, tasks, & calendars will remain intact.
 
WHEN - During the Labor Day weekend September 5-7, 2009
 
MORE INFO - Due to extensive construction projects during the summer, the e-mail purge which typically happens during the month of July was postponed.  This is notification of the new time frame for the e-mail purge.
 
WHAT YOU CAN DO - If there are e-mails you need to save that are dated BEFORE June 1, 2009, you will need to create a "personal folder" inside of your Outlook and move those message to this folder.  Instructions to create a personal folder can be found by clicking on the link below. The article applies to both Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007.

BISD 17th  Annual Scholarship Golf Scramble
BISD's 17th Annual Career & Technology Education Advisory Committee Scholarship Golf Scramble is Oct. 7 at Iron Horse Golf Course in North Richland Hills. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. Tee off is at 8 a.m. with lunch following at 12:30 p.m. Individuals are $95 and teams are $360. Registration includes:  green fee, cart, golf balls, tees and lunch. Proceeds from the Scholarship Scramble benefit BISD Career & Technology Education students who plan to continue their education. Hole sponsorships are still available.
