The Communications Department produces the employee newsletter "e-nlightened" each week so that staff can keep in touch with what is going on across the district. E-mail your pictures and a brief description to Communications and we will include them as space permits. |

Trustees Approve Appointment of Director of Curriculum and Instruction
Birdville ISD's Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Donna Solley as director of curriculum and instruction. She replaces Dr. Lane Ledbetter, who recently was named associate superintendent for curriculum and instruction for BISD. Currently, Solley is serving as principal at Holiday Heights Elementary, where she has been since 1990. In addition to Holiday Heights, she has been a language arts consultant, administrative intern, ESL teacher, and English teacher. Solley earned her bachelor's from the University of Texas at Arlington and her master's degree from the University of North Texas.

Administration Offices to Relocate for Two Weeks
Due to power and HVAC upgrades, BISD's administrative offices are temporarily relocating to various campuses in the district June 29 - July 10. Departments will be available by phone on their normal extension or by calling the main switchboard at 817.547.5700. > Relocation Information | |

BISD is expanding communications to the community through an online electronic newsletter. "B-News" provides subscribers important weather related closings and delays as well as late breaking news.
