Seven Birdville ISD schools participated in Education in Action's Experiential Learning Day programs this school year. Five schools took their fourth-graders on the "Proud to be Texan" day to Austin and two schools took their fifth-graders on the "Water Rocks" day to the Cameron Park Zoo and Inner Space Cavern. Schools attending the "Proud to be Texan" day were: The Academy at C.F. Thomas, Holiday Heights, Smith, Stowe and Green Valley elementaries. Schools attending the "Water Rocks" day were: South Birdville and Mullendore elementaries.
