Students Help With City Project

Richland High School's Student Council recently spent the day helping the City of North Richland Hills in a neighborhood improvement program. They helped paint a house and did some gardening for a local resident in need.

Birdville Golf Classic is
June 1


golfThe 26th Annual Birdville Golf Classic will begin at 8:30 a.m. on June 1 at Canyon West Golf Club. The cost is $75 per person and includes range balls, golf, cart, continental breakfast, lunch, and prizes. (This year's price increase is due to increased costs for hosting the tournament and the district's desire to contribute more to the PTA Clothes Connection.) The event is open to all Birdville employees, family and friends. Proceeds benefit the BISD Clothes Connection and door prizes at the August convocation. For more information, call 817.547.5746.

Birdville High School Senior named a National finalist


Congratulations to Josh Gowins, Birdville High School senior, for being named a national finalist in the Entrepreneurship Event at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California. He is pictured on stage at the preliminary awards session and wearing his medals with his teacher, Andrea Anderson.

Birdville High School to conduct physicals

Birdville High School will conduct athletic physicals for $10, Thursday, May 14 in the gymnasium.  Prepaid times are 4-5:30 p.m. and walk-ups will be 5:30-7 p.m.  All athletes feeding into or attending Birdville High School are welcome to attend.
