Women’s care is expensive.
Factors that increase costs include:
Health
Women arrive at treatment with multiple health issues, often because they have hidden their addiction out of shame and fear and because “women get sicker quicker” due to physiological factors.
Socio-economic status
Women often earn less than men or haven’t been employed because they are caring for their children. The women we see are struggling to meet their families’ basic needs like food and housing.
Parenting
The lack of available childcare is frequently a barrier to staying in treatment.
Trauma
Over 85 percent of women in treatment report histories of trauma, including childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence.

$750 Beyond Trauma curriculum and accompanying materials
$1,000 a Fund a Journey scholarship that will cover the gap between reimbursement and true cost of two months of treatment for one woman in our residential program
