Guidelines and applications are now available online for Fiscal Year 2011 (FY11) Program Grants and Grants to Arts Service Organizations. 
 
Overview: Grants are available to not-for-profit Illinois organizations conducting arts programming of high artistic merit. Applications may be submitted for General Operating Support or Project Support. Colleges and universities, and organizations whose primary services are not arts-related, may only apply for costs related to public arts programming activities. Fiscal Year 2011 Program Grants support activities occurring between September 1, 2010 and August 31, 2011.

REMINDER: FISCAL YEAR 2011 APPLICATION UPDATES
 
1) Extended Deadline: The annual March 15 application deadline for the above programs has been extended to Tuesday, April 20, 2010.

2) New eGrant Application: All FY11 applications to these programs must be submitted online through the Illinois Arts Council eGrant system. 
 
3) New Application Requirement: All applicants to the FY11 Program Grants, Grants to Arts Service Organizations, and Partners-in-Excellence Programs are required to submit a Funders Report from the Illinois Cultural Data Project (Illinois CDP). More information below. 

4) Free Application Workshop & Online Webinars: Illinois Arts Council program staff will conduct three online application workshop webinars plus one in-person session to assist applicants in completing FY11 Program Grant and Grants to Arts Service Organizations Program applications. A workshop will also be recorded and made available on-demand in April for those unable to attend live.

ABOUT THE ILLINOIS CULTURAL DATA PROJECT
 
ALL applicants to the FY11 Program Grants, Grants to Arts Service Organizations, and Partners-in-Excellence Programs are required to participate in the Illinois Cultural Data Project (Illinois CDP). 
 
If you have not yet started your Illinois CDP data profile, you are encouraged to do so well in advance of the April 20th application deadline. Applicants must complete their data profile before they are able to run the Illinois Arts Council Funders Report, which is a required application attachment. Visit the Illinois CDP Web site at www.ilculturaldata.org to register for an account and start your profile.
 
The Illinois CDP offers a variety of free training and user support assistance. There is online training available, a toll-free help desk, and user support assistance, as well as free access (by phone) to financial consultants specializing in accounting for non-profits. In addition, in-person new user training sessions and webinars have been taking place throughout the state. These important training sessions will show you and your staff how to enter data into the Illinois CDP and use its powerful reporting features. Please feel free to attend the session with more than one representative of your organization, including your executive director, your development director, and your finance manager or bookkeeper.
