Who, What, Where?

Thank You  for taking the time to open and read the latest news from marketing geni.  I hope you all enjoyed the long Easter break, had plenty of chocolate and made the most of the early sunshine.

Last month it was charity month at geni towers so I just wanted to share with you two amazing organisations that I had the pleasure of raising money for.

The Big Chocolate Tea Party

On Friday 15th April we held a Big Chocolate Tea Party at e.volve Business Centre at Rainton Bridge in aid of The Sick Childrens Trust who provide high quality 'Home from Home' accommodation for families whose children are receiving hospital treatment for serious illness.

 Big Choc

With a 'home from home' at Crawford House at the RVI, Caroline O'Doherty from the charity was able to lend a hand on the day and sell over 100 chocolate themed cupcakes we had made and raffle tickets.

We raised a magnificent £193.01 on the day which was bolsted by some amazing raffle prizes.

Swimathon 2011

Some of you may recall that last year I took part in the Swimathon raising money for Marie Curie.  In 2010 there were five of us in Team Twimmers however this year we were down to three:  Derek Curtis Bond Solutions, Marianne Whitfield Cobweb Info and myself....hmm last year we thought it was hard now here we were having to swim 1 mile each (without much training may I add)
SwimHat

Unfazed by the athleticism of the elite swimmers at Sunderland Aquatic Centre, Derek was first up to swim and did  a sterling job even if he did get bashed about a little by a lady intent on swimming backstroke!

Marianne took to the pool next entering the water to 'Eye Of The Tiger' to keep her motivated.  By the time I finished the elite were long gone but even so we did finish the 5k in a respectable 2hrs 33 minutes.

Together Team Twimmers raised £480 for Marie Curie UK.  You can still sponsor us by visiting http://bit.ly/Twimmers2011 Maybe your donation could take us over our £500 target :)

Until next month,

warmest regards

Heather Sig
