Greetings!

My computer is running slow! I think I need a new computer!

If your computer is running slow you may NOT need to purchase a new one. Chip Running For the most part a ram upgrade and a proper tune up can squeeze a little more life out of your existing computer.  For a general purpose use computer Microsoft Windows XP is still the operating system of choice and I believe it will be for at least a couple more years.

How do you know if this applies to you? Below is a summary.....

- If you are running Windows XP with less than 1 Gig of Ram.
- If you are running Windows VISTA you should have 4 Gig of ram.
- If you're running a Mac with OSX 10.x you should also have 4 Gig of Ram as well.

The price to install the needed ram and tune up your computer would fall into the $150 price range for parts and labor.

Our tune ups are done by hand and more accurate and thorough then a downloaded program that claims to speed up your computer.  To successfully tune up a computer it involves talking with our clients, making decisions, and experience.

In 1998, the National Safety Council Study estimated about 20 million computers became obsolete in one year. Fast forward to 2007 - that number has more than doubled according to EPA's most recent estimates. EPA conducted a closer analysis of the management of select electronic products:

 - In 2007, 157 million computer products were discarded (CPUs, monitors, notebooks, keyboards, mice, printers, faxes, and copiers).
 - 20 million TVs were discarded
 - 126 million cell phones were discarded
 - 18% of discarded TVs and computers are being recycled
 - 10% of cell phones are being recycled
 - About 80-85 percent of discarded electronics were disposed of (largely to landfills)

Thank You
