Greetings!

With the new Helio A7 and QXi, the lightweight manual wheelchair market is hotter than the summer weather. Starting new with the Stellar GL, SelfCare has some older style Stellars to sell off - contact your Seating and Mobility Consultant if you are interested. We can also supply economical seating for a real value package.

Renee is back the end of the month! Join us in welcoming Renee back from maternity leave. She and Charlotte will both be based at the North Shore store.

Limited service day: All SelfCare locations will have limited service on July 31st - it is our inventory count day.

Helio A7 - New Product Feature

Helio A7 The new Helio A7 is an economical version of the carbon fiber Helio. Made of 7000 series aluminum, which is aerospace grade tough aluminum, it is still very lightweight and rigid, but without the vibration dampening of the carbon fiber.

Helio to Helio: We spec'd out the Helio and the Helio A7 wheelchairs with standard features, 18"x18", full length height adjustable "T" armrests, 70 degree swing away footrests, 6" composite caster, 24" spoke wheels with urethane tires, quick release axles, brake extensions and antitippers. The prices are:
  • Helio = $3,487
  • Helio A7 = $3,155 (a $332 difference)

Renee Huff returns from Maternity leave to join Charlotte Skelton in North Vancouveri

Yes, Renee is coming back full time on July 31. Charlotte Skelton, who has been the Seating & Mobility Consultant while Renee was off ISN"T GOING ANYWHERE. The plan from March 2011 when Charlotte joined SelfCare was for her to remain with SelfCare full time when Renee returned. Our philosophy has always been to allow the client and therapist to choose which SelfCare representative they would like to work with. This will continue on the North Shore.
Good luck to Jane Webley - Welcome to Oliver Chan

While Jane Webley is off seeking an new new project at KCC for a year, Oliver Chan will cover her position as Palliative Care Manager at the North Shore Palliative Program. Jane has very capably managed the North Shore Palliative Program leaving some enormous shoes to fill! Good luck to both Jane & Oliver.
