Breather Series: Pilates

Feeling stressed and need some self-care after all those midterms? Come let your muscles stretch at a FREE Pilates class. Pilates is a form of exercise that emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strengthening and flexibility. This class is great for anyone wanting a little exercise or even just a small break. Bring your mat if you have one and wear comfortable clothing. Limited mats and water will be provided. Behind Closed Door

Remember that awkward conversation you had with family when you were a younger about "the birds and the bees"? Do you remember anything they taught you? Are you informed about STDS and safe sex? If you've answered no to any of these questions, then come to Behind Closed Doors, a not so typical dialogue on safe sex from our UCSD Sexual Health Advocates, and a visit from Lea Caughlan from the Rubber Rose. A Q&A will be held if anyone has questions, so come get informed and learn more than just the "birds and the bees." Questions? Contact Jeannette at [email protected].

Art Produce in North Park 

The Cross-Cultural Center invites you to attend "Beyond La Jolla" to the performance of "Reflections" at Eveoke Dance Theatre in North Park. Reflections is a powerful portrait of 6 little known women who have affected history in a profound way. Choreographed by Ericka Aisha Moore and Visual Art by Lynn Susholtz and Araceli Carrera. Space is limited so sign up early in the Cross-Cultural Center! This event is free to all UCSD students, but a $5 deposit is required at sign-up to guarantee your reservation, which will be returned to you at the event. LGBT Resource Center  

Join the LGBT RC for an informal social and mixer at the queer black Social where the topic of the event will be "women and wellness". This event will be a closed space for self-identified black people to discuss queer issues. Light refreshments will be provided.
