Celebrating the Abilities of Artists with Disabilities
Artists' Exhibit Submission Form Due: September 1st, 2009
As part of the 2009 UC San Diego Celebration of Abilities festivities, the Office for Students with Disabilites (OSD) is pleased to host the annual Art Exhibit featuring the many abilities of artists with disabilities. Artwork will be exhibited throughout October and a reception will be held on October 20th, from 11:30 AM - 2 PM. in the Price Center. Mark your calendars now! Artists are encouraged to submit applications for submission to the OSD by Sept. 1, 2009. For additional information contact the OSD at (858) 534-4382.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR PACIFIC ISLANDER & SOUTHEAST ASIAN WOMEN 
facesREACH US - Promoting Access to Health for Pacific Islander and Southeast Asian Women (PATH for Women), a breast and cervical cancer program working to address disparities among Asian and Pacific Islander communities, is offering the PATH for Women Scholarship Fund to Pacific Islander high school seniors and undergraduate college students who demonstrate significant merit in academics, workplace, and community with an interest in the health field. Five students will be selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship to offset their expenses at a two- or four-year accredited institution. UCSD STAFF ASSOCIATION SCHOOL SUPPLY/BOOK DRIVE
JULY 20 - AUGUST 31, 2009
All donations will be distributed to local disadvantaged schools by the UCSD Staff Associations. Last year's drive provided books and supplies to 20 classrooms! Please consider picking up a book, binder or box of crayons to help some really needy kids. For a list of donation needs and where to drop off go here.
