CCC ANNUAL ASSESSMENT STAFF & FACULTY BROWNBAG

All staff and faculty are invited to attend a brownbag lunch with the Cross-Cultural Center and hear about the results of our 2008-2009 annual assessment. This  meeting will include a short powerpoint presentation followed by a discussion to get feedback and strategies for implementation. Bring a lunch, we will provide drinks and dessert.

Movies that Matter, the new documentary series at the Centro Cultural de la Raza screens Race is the Place, a no holds barred look at race, dialog and identity in the US, by spoken word artists and performers such as Kate Rigg, Ahmed Ahmed, Danny Hoch and James Luna. Yesterday, Sunday June 7th, after a number of ministers had been paraded out Saturday and the day before, Peru's el Se�or Presidente, Alan Garcia decided to make it personal. After a joint police-military operation aimed at stopping an Indigenous protest had gone awry, leaving many dead on both sides, Garcia declared the Indigenous elements to be standing in the way of progress, in the path of national development, wrenches in the gears of modernity, and part of an international conspiracy to keep Peru down.
