The Campus Community Centers are accepting applications for the Chancellor's Undergraduate Diversity Learning Initiative (CUDLI), a 10-week social justice institute. CUDLI is an experiential gathering of learners framed by a commitment to personal growth regarding issues of social justice.
Applications and information are available at http://community.ucsd.edu and are due by 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 29.
Hard copies of applications are also available at the Women's Center, Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Center and Cross Cultural Center.

Volunteers Needed!
Sat., March 1 at the Downtown San Diego Civic Center.
Student volunteers are needed to baby sit children of homeless and battered women at the Women's Resource Fair. Last year, the Fair provided medical, legal, housing and social services to 521 women and 151 children. You must have your own transportation downtown. Three volunteer shifts are available: 8am to 12 pm, 10 am to 2 pm, 12 pm to 4 pm.

Coming Out Group at the LGBT RC
Meeting time to be determined by participants.
The Coming Out Group is a place to meet and gain support while discussing your sexual and/or gender identities in a confidential setting. This group is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, straight or questioning folks who are coming out and who may already be out. Topics are deter-mined by group participants, and can include coming out to yourself, coming out to family, coming out to friends, coming out and the work place, and coming out at school. This conference is for ANYONE interested in the  psychological well-being of women and girls. This year's theme - Expanding the Boundaries of Feminist Psychology: Social Justice, Activism, Resistance reflects the desire to expand the ways in which feminist psychology facilitates social justice and the empowerment of women all over the world. We want to create a space in which we will be inspired by the insights of various disciplines to examine issues such as Women and War, Immigration, Poverty, Reproductive Justice, Power, Privilege, and Difference and to empower ourselves and all feminists to act productively in response to the crises of our time.

Mexican Migration and Field Research Program
Undergraduates interested in the year-long Mexican Migration and Field Research Program (MMFRP) have the exciting opportunity to conduct graduate level research, earn a minor in International Migration Studies and prepare for a future career in law, journalism, academia or non-profit work. Participants in the MMFRP conduct fieldwork in a migrant sending town in rural Mexico and co-author a chapter in a published book on Mexican Migration. Grants for the MMFRP cover all participants travel related expenses. Students with data analysis, research, writing, and fieldwork experience or interest from any major are encouraged to apply. Spanish proficiency, letters of recommendation, resume and writing sample are required for an interview with MMFRP.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund
HSF scholarship applications for the 2008-2009 academic year are now available online.
General eligibility requirements are as follows:
- Be of Hispanic heritage
- Be a high school senior, undergraduate or graduate college student
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
- Have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
- Must apply for federal financial aid using the FAFSA
- Must plan to enroll FULL-TIME in a degree seeking program at a U.S. accredited institution in the 2008-2009 academic year.

Assistant Director Position at UC Davis Cross Cultural Center Open!
This position provides leadership and guidance to center student staff; develops, and manages major programs and events; supervises the center student staff; has primary oversight for the CCC student organization affiliate program; oversees daily operations, including center based communication and coordination of program delivery; manages funds to support leadership efforts, research projects and programming efforts that support the center's mission; serves as a senior member of the center's staff, assists with the development of campus wide partnerships as well as conducts research on relevant issues, provides analytical reports and guides research and marketing efforts of the center. In conjunction with the CCC staff, cooperates with other centers on campus to maximize efficiency in cross-issue social justice.
Critical Race Studies Symposium Fri., March 7 at UCLA School of Law
The CRS Symposium, "Race, Sexuality & the Law: Abercrombie, Imus & Beyond" will feature interdisciplinary academic panels exploring the role of law, culture,media and communities in shaping representations of race, gender and sexual orientation.The event is FREE to the public
The Symposium convenes over 300 people from law schools, ethnic studies and race-related research centers, graduate and undergraduate programs, law firms, legal services organizations and community-based social change agencies from across the country.
