Focus on our ministry partners
Your congregation, through the Ohio Conference, has 13 ministry partners that provide vital health and human services or quality higher education to folks in Ohio and beyond. Each of these partners, also known as benevolent institutions, has stories to tell about the people whose lives they have touched. We will share those stories with you each month in Connections for the next year or so.

A team of seven Disaster Response workers from Richfield United Church of Christ, located between Cleveland and Akron, traveled about 300 miles south to Varney, West Virginia this Fall (one of at least three such trips for them this year) to take a homeowner one step closer to moving out of her former garage into a snug new home. Camp Wonderland
"A Good Time Was Had by All" (Jane Austen) By: Tom Robertson, Executive Director (and a team of ghost writers)
Camp Wonderland, the 2011 summer camp rally at Templed Hills on December 3 and 4, proved to be a fun, joyous and warm occasion, despite the frigid temperatures outside.
Children, youth, adults-young and old-sang, played, and created the same charm of community that we hope to find at camp each summer.

Conference Minister's Corner

Rev. Bob Molsberry Boogie-Woogie Christmas
I first met Ted on a crisp fall night cool enough to bring most of the homeless men of Aurora, Illinois, off the streets and into whatever shelter they could find. Many of them found their way into our church's program, Public Action to Deliver Shelter, or PADS, which that first year was little more than an agreement among seven churches in town to take turns during the week hosting men who wandered in from the cold. My encounter with Ted happened to coincide with a chilly period in my own spiritual life. The fires of passion that had led me into parish ministry just a year before were being extinguished one by one by the daily grind of church work. More
