Insurance Board offers electrical inspection service to churches
When many of our churches were built, electrical demands were basically light and heat. Computers and audio/video equipment, air conditioning, and the needs of day care programs are placing demands on electrical systems that could not have been anticipated.
Electrical panels are beyond capacity. Often, they have been tended to by amateurs or low bidders taking shortcuts while adding new circuits. In addition, dangerous dust is collecting, and connections are loose and getting hot. Out of sight, out of mind. Until tragedy strikes. More |

 FAITH PRACTICES Resources - Worship, Learning and Serving for Vital Congregations. Faith Practices will provide resources for worship, learning, and serving, on 24 faith practices. Resources on four practices of faith will become available each year for six years. Practices are grouped in twelve circles. Will be available for churches to use in September 2010. More

Rev. Bob Molsberry Ohio Conference Strengthen the Church Approaches
The Strengthen the Church offering in the Ohio Conference has a face. It's the face of Jim Oates, recently named Coach for Church Development and Congregational Renewal.
Half of the Strengthen the Church offering, one of the 5-for-5 offerings in the United Church of Christ, stays in the Ohio Conference for church development and vitality work.
Last year our share was about $22,000. We have decided to put that money toward the salary of a full-time coach for the Ohio Conference.
Already Coach Oates is having an impact.
