Calling for Living Peace Church Stories

Friends,
As we prepare at On Earth Peace for Annual Conference, we look for stories of how individuals and congregations are living out the calling to be living peace churches (LPC).  These stories will be reported from the conference floor microphones after On Earth Peace gives its agency report at Annual Conference on Tuesday afternoon.  If you are going to Conference this year, and you have a story of reconciliation to share during the LPC reports, please drop me a line at [email protected].  I invite you to share the good news with the entire church!

Healthy Congregations Workshop
Final Call for Registrations
Always wanted to learn about systems theory and congregations?  Hurry!  There are two days left until registration closes for the Healthy Congregations workshop, led by Jim Kinsey, on May 3, 2008 at Camp Harmony, Hooverville, PA.  This workshop, co-sponsored by the Western Pennsylvania District, is based on the work of Peter Steinke, a congregational consultant and systems theory practitioner.

Dr. Steinke designed the Healthy Congregations workshop to assist congregational leaders in understanding churches as emotional systems. Participants will explore the congregation as a system and focus on ways to assist a congregation experiencing difficulties.  Pastors, congregational leaders, Shalom Team members, and congregational members are encouraged to attend.
