Clean Sweep by Karen Karsten
Does watching the reality program Hoarders give you an OMG reaction? Seeing someone else's physical collection of stuff gives one cause to pause. What about the stuff you can't see? You know, all the stuff in your head you have been collecting. You know it's there, because it pops up at the darndest times.
Get curious about what's in there. How about doing a clean sweep on your brain? Do you have a "guilt list?" Things you think you should be doing, but aren't? Unfinished projects? Your mind has closets, too, filled with things that no longer fit, belong to someone else, are the wrong color or have been forgotten for a long time.
Take a Clean Sweep Day for your brain. Relax, light a candle, spritz some lavender or other natural scent and get comfy with yourself. Think about 2010--what don't you want to bring into 2011? What do you want to bring into your life? Rich Chicks has a couple of fun forms you can use to trash old ideas and "shoulda's" and list the gifts you'd like to bring into your life. Get them free here. |

Little items so easily find their way into your bag when you shop without a list. Adding the amount you're willing to spend gives you a reality check when you're ready to buy. It forces you to evaluate the logic of your purchase. Read more on our blog |
