When someone fails or disappoints you,
May the graciousness with which you engage
Be their stairway to renewl and refinement.
May you treasure the gifts of the mind
Through reading and creative thinking
So that you continue as a servant of the frontier
Where the new will draw its enrichment from the old
And you never become a functionary.
Part Three of "For a Leader," by John O'Donohue

Photo of the Week
Wherever Two or Three are Gathered: Since this photo was taken, authorities have set up a second fence, so that this kind of communion is not possible. We will, however, hold a ceremony at the border in Friendship Park on Monday in Holy Week, April 2 at 2:15pm. Meet at Monument Mesa for the walk to the ceremony along the fence. Read about "Via Crucis" below for more information.

Six Benefits of Exercise
 | |
Exercise: it's good for you!
|
The Mayo Clinic lists the following benefits of a regular exercise regime:
- Exercise improves your mood by stimulating brain chemicals. A brisk 30 minute walk can be calming.
- Exercise combats chronic diseases such as Type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and certain types of cancer.
- Exercise helps with managing your weight. Take the stairs instead of the elevator; walk during lunch. Do jumping jacks during commercials.
- Exercise boosts your energy level. Physical activity delivers oxygen and nutrients to your tissues and helps your entire circulatory system.
- Exercise promotes better sleep. A good night's sleep can improve your concentration, productivity and mood. Fall asleep quickly and sleep soundly with exercise.
- Exercise can be fun. Like a ballroom dance class, or hiking a trail. Find a physical activity you enjoy, and go for it. If you get bored, try something new. Remember- as long as you're moving....it counts.
