If God said,
"Rumi, pay homage to everything that has helped you enter my arms,"
there would not be one experience of my life, not one thought, not one feeling,
not any act, I would not bow to.
Love Poems From God, by Rumi, translated by Daniel Ladinsky

Homeless Foot Washing
|
Why should we wash the feet of homeless people? Watch this video (at right) to find out. It explains the problem, the solution and the reason for this endeavor.
Join Us! If each church donates $125 or 25 pairs of new shoes for men, sizes 8-15, or women, sizes 5-12, then we will reach our goal of 230 pairs of shoes. New hiking boots, sandals, work boots or sneakers are welcome.
"By providing this kind of service, homeless people are blessed, and will feel that they are not invisible, but loved," said Nancy Holland, director of the Episcopal Church Center. "It will also raise awareness about the issue of homelessness, which is everyone's problem. And it will connect those in need with services to move them into healthier, more productive states."
