Greetings!
The board of directors plays a vital role in establishing the vision and strategic direction for the Academy, and it assures adherence to the Academy's mission, bylaws, policies, procedures and values. Because of its importance, every member should participate in the process by voting.
This year, there are five (5) open elected seats; ten members have been nominated. You may view the candidates and their election statements on our website.

| Annual Meeting & Breakfast With Mother Antonia

 The Academy is proud to host this breakfast program that promises to both motivate and inform. Following a brief membership meeting, a presentation will be given by Mother Antonia, whose life is the subject of the book The Prison Angel: Mother Antonia's Journey From Beverly Hills to a Life of Service in a Mexican Jail, by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists Mary Jordan and Kevin Sullivan. |
| Celebrating 10 Years to Life |  As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, the Academy continues to grow both in size-currently at more than 3,000 members-and in the valuable benefits and resources that it offers.
"To mark this special occasion, it seemed fitting to develop a slogan-10 Years to Life: Make the Academy Part of Your Life," says Susan Laffan, RN, CCHP-A, CCHP-RN, who chairs the Academy's board of directors. "As we reflect upon the past 10 years and look toward the future, we encourage all correctional health professionals to take pride in their specialty and to join in our unique community," says Laffan.
