National Nurses Week: May 6-12
Congratulations to all of the nurses in our membership! The work of America's 2.9 million registered nurses to save lives and to maintain the health of millions of individuals is the focus of this year's National Nurses Week, celebrated annually May 6-12 throughout the United States. This year's theme is "Nurses: Building a Healthy America."
 
Call for Nominations
 
The nominating committee is seeking candidates to run for an open seat on the Academy's board of directors. Self-nominations are welcome.
 
The Academy Board of Directors comprises 13 persons who are members of the Academy: seven of the directors are selected by the membership through a national elections, and six are appointed from the field. Terms of office are for two years.

The Journal of Correctional Health Care has been accepted for indexing in the National Library of Medicine's Medline database of biomedical citations and abstracts. And, as a member of the Academy, you receive a complimentary subscription (a $105 value), and the JCHC is available free exclusively to Academy members at http://jchc.sagepub.com.
