Today's Scripture
"And now about prayer. When you pray, don't be like the
hypocrites who pretend piety by praying publicly on street corners and in the
synagogues where everyone can see them. Truly, that is all the reward they will
ever get. But when you pray, go away by
yourself, all alone, and shut the door behind you and pray to your Father
secretly, and your Father, who knows your secrets, will reward you. "Don't recite the same prayer over and
over as the heathen do, who think prayers are answered only by repeating them
again and again. Remember, your Father knows exactly what you need even before
you ask him! "Pray along these
lines: 'Our Father in heaven, we honor your holy name. We ask that your kingdom will come now. May
your will be done here on earth, just as it is in heaven. Give us our food again today, as usual, and forgive us our sins, just as we have
forgiven those who have sinned against us. Don't bring us into temptation, but deliver us
from the Evil One. Amen.' Your heavenly Father will forgive you if you
forgive those who sin against you; but if you refuse to forgive them, he will
not forgive you." Matthew 6: 5-15 TLB

Today's Word from Marty and Jessica
Imagine having the ability to speak with the Creator of the
entire cosmos personally and about anything you wanted, anything at all,
unrushed, uninhibited and unscripted.
Imagine further Him telling you there is no need for you to have an appointment,
intermediary or a connection that you personally have a new friendship with Him
and there is nothing or no one that can ever come between you and He. Imagine Him telling you, "If you will get
closer to Me; I'll get closer to you!" Malachi 3:7 And imagine Him telling you it's because of
His Son that this relationship between you and He is possible, nothing else.
Prayer is conversation with God. It is the vehicle to open your heart to your
Creator and through divine interaction have fellowship or a time of intimacy
with The Designer of all of life. Wow!
You have been given the "Password" to open the floodgate of
blessings over every area of your life. Jesus
himself said "Ask anything, using my
name, and I will do it!" John 14:14 Now like never before you have been given the
opportunity to call upon the Name of God Himself to get involved in every area
of your life. He wants to hang with you,
to help balance your budget and provide all you will ever need to fulfill His purpose
for you in this generation. God wants to
introduce you to His friends, people who know His Son personally and create
life-long relationships that will build you up and not ever tear you down. God wants more than anything to offer you
more than you have right now, He wants to offer you Himself. So, why not take the opportunity today to
say, "Here I am Father, I'm listening."
When you come to Him with that kind of a heart, opened [teachable] and
ready to receive you can be assured God will not hold back anything that He has
promised and you will most assuredly begin to walk in His abundance all because
He loves you beyond description or compare.
This, my friend is the day to change your life forever, the decision is
yours. Pray [talk] or ignore God, it's
all up to you.

A Prayer for Today
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as
it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For
thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
