Today's Word
Overcoming Worry
When you worry you're actually blocking your blessing. You're believing that God is not for you, with you or can take care of your needs. When we speak words like, "This will never work out" or "I'm going to lose my marriage, home, job, business, etc." you're actually denying God's ability and willingness to fulfill His Promise for your life.
Worry is habit forming, it's an addiction just like a dependency on drugs, alcohol or food. It becomes a way of life, a sickness and like any other addiction it takes a toll on your well-being and eventually your life. Worry causes health problems like Mental Illness, High Blood Pressure, Heart Disease, Gastric Problems and even death. Worry can also cause you to become wrongfully dependent on others and/or lose valued relationships and live a very lonely life. But the good news is - it's 100% preventable.
Jesus said, "If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers-most of which are
never even seen-don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his
best for you? What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so
preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's
giving. People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these
things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality,
God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all
your everyday human concerns will be met." Matthew 6:30-33 The Message.
You see, when you begin to believe God's Promise for your life and you become His follower, rather than an ambassador of "gloom and doom" you'll realize what freedom is all about. Take your first step today into a life that is filled with joy and blessings, learn to expect God's very best and you will soon discover there is nothing to worry about - you're covered!

HEAVENLY FATHER, we lift TODAY'S reader up to You speaking every blessing You have promised in Your Word over their life. May they come to You in their time of need knowing You will never fail them.
