Don't Force It
Sometimes
we try and force God and others to think the way we do. Aren't you glad He doesn't?
After cancer surgery last year I began looking different. My hair, my color and my
general appearance just wasn't the same anymore. I kept asking Jessica and people around me, "Don't I look
old and sick?" And of course they'd tell me what they thought I needed to hear. Then one day just after working
out I was going into the bath room and caught a glimpse of my face in the mirror and I heard in my
spirit, "Don't go by your looks, or how you feel, go by My Promise!" And I knew instantly it was God. Inside
of me there was an immediate settling, I knew no matter how things look, or how I feel, God's Word is
the final authority and the rest is a trick of the enemy to get and keep me off course and from living the life He planned and intended so long ago.
Today, no matter how things may look in your life or how you may feel over certain situations remember God's Promise is the final authority. The enemy will always subtly and cunningly try to use your sensitivities to change your focus from God's Promise, but don't buy the lie, God's Promise is the final authority and the enemies lies fade very quickly when confronted with the TRUTH.
Sometimes, unknowingly, we try and force God to follow our
way of thinking, isn't it great He doesn't.
