Today's Word
Like a Child Sometimes IT'S DIFFICULT TO TRUST, especially when you cannot see the one you're suppose to be trusting. It happens to all of us from time to time. In the Book of Matthew Jesus addresses this with these words, "I'm telling you, once and for all, that unless you return to square one and
start over like children, you're not even going to get a look at the kingdom,
let alone get in. Whoever becomes simple and elemental again, like this child,
will rank high in God's kingdom. What's more, when you receive the childlike on
my account, it's the same as receiving me" (Matthew 18:4 MSG).
God guards the hearts of those who have simple uncomplicated faith in HIM. He doesn't call you to "religion" nor ritual, but He does call you to Himself. Like a child, God wants you to trust Him today. He wants you to remain teachable and opened to His purpose for your life. God has created you for so much more, but in order to experience the fullness of His gifts to you you're going to have to follow His lead, much like a child looks to their earthly father.
What is it that you're believing God for today? A better marriage, a closer relationship with your children or some damage control with others? Maybe your experiencing financial or health challenges, or even worse, you just find it hard to believe in God at times with all that's going on in and around you. Like a child, trust comes from relationship, and God is calling you today to turn to HIM with any and every challenge and TRUST HIS PROMISE to love you forever no matter what! Keep a childlike heart, opened, forgiving, expecting, trusting and longing for fellowship with the One who loves you the most.
Have a great day with your Father.
