WHY DID ABRAHAM'S DAD STOP IN HARAN? I'm not exactly sure, but one thing I do know, four thousand years ago traveling with flocks, herds, relatives, and all of their belongings had to be more than difficult. Finally, Terah said, "I just can't go on any farther. I know this isn't the Promised Land, but let's just settle here; this is good enough."
Maybe like Abraham's dad you've already settled halfway, and you've gotten comfortable where you are. Today, I'm challenging you to pull up your stakes, pack your tents, get your belongings, and start moving forward. You were made for more than good enough my friend. It's time to enlarge your vision and start living God's plan for your life! You may have had some setbacks that have slowed you down, but that's okay, because God has given you all the strength and provision you're going to need so that you can begin again right now. Yesterday doesn't matter, today is a new day and a new beginning.
Don't settle for almost, press on to the finish line and when you enter your Promised Land you'll look back and say, "As challenging as it was, I'd do it again."

A Prayer For Today
Get Up!
HEAVENLY FATHER, we speak a new vision over this reader, a new strength and a new song in their heart. Whisper your call in their ear that they may rise up and begin walking to their Promised Land. Let them hear the call that says, "Come, rise up and follow me!"
And Father, when they grow weary, doubtful and broken, lift them up with Your right hand and carry them until they can walk again. Be their strength, their motive and their focus so they will know, they never walk alone, You are there protecting, guarding and guiding them all the way because you love them so deeply. . . .
