Hi Everyone,
| I'm excited to announce a new breathe deep event. Please join me for a weekend Silent Meditation Retreat, Saturday, November 6 - Sunday, November 7, 2010. This retreat will take place in a beautiful 150-year-old renovated farm house in Frederick, Maryland. Escape from the distractions of the city. Enjoy access to fields and forest, walk along the stream and country roads, and feel supported in silence and meditation.
I will be leading the weekend, which will include light vegetarian/Ayurvedic meals, meditation instruction, seated and walking meditation, guided meditation, and special instruction on mantras and pranayama (breath work). Come into nature and begin to find your true nature through silence, stillness and introspection.
Since 1996 I have attended over a dozen week-long silent retreats in the U.S. and Europe, and have taught monthly meditation classes at breathe books. I'm so excited to have the opportunity to facilitate this retreat in such a gorgeous, contemplative setting, as part of our expanding ventures in our breathe deep series.
The cost for this event is $245, which includes room and board (shared rooms and delicious Ayurvedic meals) and instruction. Space is limited so please contact us soon to sign up.
So this week we have a very special guest author coming to breathe for a writing workshop -- please join Justin Kramon, the author of the newly published Random House novel, Finny, on Sunday, August 8 at 1 p.m. Justin has graciously offered a workshop in addition to a reading and signing of his new book.
Shopgirl Jenn, who is in the middle of Finny right now, is excited to meet Justin. "Finny (the main character) is intriguing from the get-go -- a spunky firecracker if ever there was one. I think a lot of us can identify with being the odd one out in our families, even from a young age, and I'm really looking forward to seeing where she goes!" You can watch a (really sweet and entertaining) book trailer for Finny on YouTube. This is a rare opportunity to talk with a published author about the ins and outs of writing, the industry, and his well-reviewed book; we hope you'll take advantage of it!
love,
susan

Angel Readings and Karmic Astrology with Julie Madill: Individual Sessions

signs and symbols. Astrology gives us the tools to identify prior life gifts
and talents, as well as make conscious blocks and karmic patterns. Dreams are
messages from the unconscious that help identify our fears and desires, and can
even be prophetic. Learning to listen to our more subtle selves allows us to
find peace and happiness in any circumstance. Julie is a highly empathic and intuitive person who is
very in tune with the body. She has decades of experience as a yoga
teacher/student and is a certified karmic astrologer and angel healing
practitioner. Cost: Angel readings: $50/ half-hour, $80/ hour Astrology or
