Hi All!
We know everyone is so busy (including us!) so we've decided to to give you teens out there a bit more time to read the next book, and the "adult" club is taking it's time with our book!

The Teen Book Club's next meeting will be on the last Sunday in April --  April 25. If you think there is a better date and time for the Teen group, please let us know as we would love to accommodate as many teens (12 --16) as possible!  Feel free to drop Jenn an email at jenn@breathebooks.com with your suggestions.

books and bagels will continue discussing the second half of the March book on April 24.

See details below! Please call to sign up and remember that book club choices are always 20% off!

Book chat and snacks (and usually giveaways as well) -- what could be better! Each month we'll discuss a new book, exploring everything from fiction to graphic novels to nonfiction, focusing on books that raise interesting and important questions. Or books that I just really like.

At our next meeting (NEW DATE!), Sunday, April 25, 5:15 p.m., I thought for April we'd revisit one of my own personal classics -- Ishmael, by Daniel Quinn, which asks us fundamental questions about how and why we live the way we do. We'll have snacks as usual, plus preview copies of new books - exclusive for members!

Cost: $7; snacks will be served! Group picks are 20% off for bookclub members. Please sign up in advance.

This month we continue with The House of the Spirits, by Isabel Allende. So if you missed book club last month, please join as we continue our discussion of this magical tale set in Chile.

This is Allende's first novel and I was as equally mesmerized the second time I read this as I was the first.

Since this book is over 400 pages long, we decided to take two months to read it. This sweeping saga, which takes over several generations, reads almost like two novels, so feel free to join us for the second meeting even if you missed the first.

I hope you find this book as intriguing as I did. By the way, after I chose it I remembered it was made into an incredible movie with Glenn Close, Meryl Streep, Winona Rider, Jeremy Irons and Antonio Banderas among others! I don't see any harm in renting the film!

Read more about the movie and book here. And read about Isabele Allende here.

Our May book is Little Bee by Chris Cleave. We chose it before it so deservedly became a New York Times Bestseller!
