January 14, 2009

Hi All,
This is going to be quite the week - not only for the events we have coming up! -- but because in 6 days Barack Obama will officially be our President. I have a few other names for him  - The Messaih, a God-Send, the Savior. Funny how only religious terms come to mind.

All I know is we had to go through everything we've experienced in order for Barack to come along and bring us back up. Kind of like a Shiva - Vishnu thing, perhaps?

By the way, Barack means lightening in Hebrew, and it's also the root for the word blessing. How appropriate.

Before the dawn of a new day, we've got some nice events here. Author and Gurdjief scholar William Patrick Patterson will speak about his new book, Spiritual Survival in a Radically Changing World, on Thursday evening.

The Swing States Road Show band will be playing a pre-inauguration concert on Friday night - it's a great event for the whole family.

Michele Herling teaches us how to mobilize Qi - a powerful moving meditation practice, on Saturday.

Local author Pamela Silberman will speak about her new book, Simply Being, inspired by her studies of A Course in Miracles. She'll be speaking on Sunday.

And Cherry-Lee Ward explores the Throat Chakra on Monday night.

See details for all our events below. PLEASE call to sign up for classes! 410-235-7323.

February events are on the website, www.breathebooks.com.

looking forward to seeing you soon.

love,

susan
