December 31, 2008

Hello All,
We had a wonderful gathering on December 25. The store was filled with people mingling, eating and reading all day long. The film, 10 Questions for the Dalai Lama, was standing room only.

And some of you had a few shekels left over from holiday shopping to make more purchases which allowed me to make a generous donation to seva.org. Thank you for making my Christmas Day a memorable one. I hope you also enjoyed the holiday.

Just a few things to bring to your attention - this Saturday and Sunday we are screening the brand new Wayne Dyer movie, "Ambition to Meaning", Wayne's first feature! We have the honor of being the first place in Baltimore to show the movie - please call to sign up as space is limited.

Now that I'm a Chopra Center Certified Instructor, I'm proud to announce my first classes! The "Perfect Health Through Ayurveda" 5-week course will begin on Wednesday, January 14 through Wednesday, February 11, at 7:15 p.m. You'll find plenty of details on breathebooks.com events page about the classes, which includes learning about all aspects of Ayurveda, a 5000 year-old healing system from India.

By incorporating Ayurveda into my life I lost over 45 pounds this year. I am healthier and happier now then I've ever been. That's way I believe Ayurveda,  Sanskrit for the wisdom or science of life,  offers a proven guide for a life of happiness, vitality, love and purpose. I am so looking forward to sharing this with you!

Health is a state of vibrant balance in which all layers of life are integrated. Through nutrition, meditation, yoga, and honest, deep communication we'll create a conscious awareness which will bring us back to our natural state of balance. You will feel better, sleep better, look better and love better.

If you'd like to learn more about my journey with Ayurveda, see susan's musings at breathebooks.com and take a look back in the archives. Feel free to call me anytime with questions.

You can also visit the Chopra website: http://teachers.chopra.com/InstructorDetail.asp?ContactID=106703.

The five-week course is being offered at the introductory rate of $325, including materials. Class size is limited for a more personalized atmosphere.

Happy New Year to everyone. Please note I am actually closing the store for New Year's Day! We'll reopen on Friday, Jan. 2, 2009.

I have so much love and gratitude for you all. You helped create another amazing year here at breathe books. I hope we have been able to touch your life is some way as well.  (But please - no more Christmas Cookies! I'm having an Ayurvedic meltdown!)

much love and see you in 2009,

susan
