KIT's mission is to create a cultural exchange program between Italy, the US and the international community, to unveil artistic and creative sides of these two countries to the world. In the States, Kairos Italy Theater is dedicated to spread the Italian Culture and to create an Italian Culture Network in order to maintain and grow the knowledge of Italy in the States.

A one of a kind concert/reading remembering the devastating earthquake that destroyed Messina and Reggio Calabria.
 
On December 28th, 1908 at 5:22 am an earthquake erased in few seconds two beautiful cities and their surroundings. More than 20.000 were killed, and many more were injured.
 
To commemorate such event, Daniela Schaechter, acclaimed composer and pianist from Messina, has created Remebering Messina: Before and After December 29th 1908
 
On stage: Daniela Sch�chter piano and vocals; Oleg Osenkov upright bass, Marco Panascia, bass electric guitar, Marcello Pellitteri drums, Dan Pratt saxophones, Davide Sch�chter classical and electric guitar, Laura Caparrotti narrator PLUS a special guest.
 
The concert/reading will take place November 20, 2008 at the Italian Academy at Columbia University.
