Here at Bee Creek UMC, we are blessed to feed our souls in church each Sunday and then be able to feed our bodies afterwards. Some people aren't as lucky.  

In our community, there are many kids on free/reduced breakfasts and lunches at school. The summer season will soon be upon us and these children may not have a nutritious meal during the day. Here at BCUMC, we want to address this need. Please help us get started by packing a lunch before you come to church on Sunday, April 10th. Drop the sack lunches in the church kitchen and the lunches will be handed out on Tuesday, April 12th at the Helping Hands Crisis Ministry.

What to pack in your sack lunch....

Sandwich (no mayo or mustard please - we will provide packets to put in sacks), chips, fruit/veggie, dessert. Keep it simple. People are hungry and will be glad to eat whatever you pack. Please write on your sack what your sandwich is made of. Although tomatoes and lettuce would be great on a sandwich, it will get soggy before Tuesday so please leave those on the side.

We are in need of filled Easter eggs for our community Easter egg hunt on Palm Sunday, April 17th. Our Easter egg hunt is always a well attended event so we are asking everyone to bring at least one or two dozen filled Easter eggs so that every child has the opportunity to have some eggs.  

Due to our Texas weather, we ask that you do NOT fill the plastic eggs with chocolate or anything else that might melt.

Please drop off your filled Easter eggs in the foyer by this Sunday, April 10th or in the church office by Tuesday, April 12th. Thank you in advance for your help.
