Greetings!

Recently the UCE-Burundi team reported to us that a student stood up at an outreach and proclaimed to everyone, "The UCE program is a coach that God has sent to drive our lives
to the right destiny without HIV/AIDS."

That student's bold words reminded us of the gift that Dickson Tumuramye gave to UCE on his wedding day. Dickson had first experienced UCE "coaching" in his remote home area of West Ankole in 2004. Within a few years he himself was leading UCE team presentations. Six years later, Ken and I were invited to Dickson's wedding in Uganda. He surprised us with a gift for UCE on his wedding day! Within

minutes of exchanging vows, with his bride at his side, Dickson asked to be videotaped "to tell our partners all over the world about what UCE had done" for him.

Be blessed by the tangible results that UCE is having, through you, on young lives in Africa.The youth who hear the UCE message take it to heart (like the Burundi student quoted above) and these Africans in turn coach others and inspire us.

World AIDS Week began December 1st with an Agape meal. Then we prayed for the 33 million people in the world who are suffering with HIV/AIDS. This ecumenical event was well attended and every hour was filled in an all-night prayer vigil. Read more HERE
