Amendments to the Employment Equity Regulations

The Minister of Labour has amended the regulations in terms of Employment Equity Act. South African Labour laws have been researched through international best practice and moulded to serve the unique circumstances in our country. From time to time it is necessary to update or amend the laws and or regulations in order to fine tune them.

On the 8th December 2008 the minister of Labour Membathisi Mdladlana proposed changes to the Employment Equity Regulations around Act, 1998 (Act 55 of 1998). The changes were accepted and gazetted on the 14th July 2009. Click here to access the new regulations.
