Greetings!
In last year's end-of-the-year newsletter, I talked about my taking up running and how my niece offered a 'helping hand' to get me through my first races. I've continued to enjoy racing this year but unfortunately I made a big mistake - and that was running a race with a pulled muscle. What should have been a relatively easy injury to recover from ended up being two sets of pulled muscles. (Running with the original injury caused me to compensate with other muscles causing other damage.) My drive to run this race - even while injured - caused me to miss the summer running season and all of golf season (this year was the year I was going to start golfing again - sigh!) Everyone makes mistakes and I'm sure I made more than 5 this year, but I thought I'd list the top 5 mistakes I see organizations make about security. Hopefully you can learn from their mistakes just as I hope someone takes my advice and learns from my mistake and doesn't run a race with a pulled muscle.
