Amazing Dishes! (from the i5/OS Audit Journal)
by Carol Woodbury
President, SkyView Partners, Inc.
I admit it. I've addicted to the Food Network and the Cooking Channel. Not that I can cook all that well - I just live vicariously through all the fabulous chefs on the shows I watch and by visiting their restaurants whenever possible. One of my favorite shows is Iron Chef. If you aren't familiar with the show, two accomplished chefs square-off and have to produce stellar dishes based on something called "the secret ingredient." The secret incredient ranges from the obscure to the mundane, but the result is the same - two chefs producing suprisingly delightful dishes with the secret ingredient as the focus of the dish. As a take-off from this show, I'm declaring the i5/OS audit journal to be the 'secret ingredient' of this newsletter and I'm going to describe to you the 'dishes' I'd prepare with this ingredient. So sit back and be prepared to be amazed at what you can do with the lowly audit journal. |

The Hidden Cost of Compliance
by John Vanderwall
CEO, SkyView Partners, Inc.
"Automating your security compliance process cuts the hidden cost associated with manual processes. No more "scrambling" to answer requests for data. No more time spent documenting your processes and continually reviewing that documentation. No more time spent reproducing information because a "manual error" was found. By examining compliance, automating what can be automated, you end up with several very positive results for your company. First you free up time for IT to focus on bottom-line projects."
