This week's focus point - | | Dr. Martin Luther King Jr |
Dreams. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. used the words, "I have a dream," to transform a nation. His legacy is being celebrated today, the 25th anniversary of the initiation of this honor. What dreams do you have? Do you write them down? Do you share them with others? We all need dreams, aspirations, goals, and objectives. We need them in our personal and professional lives. We also need to be clear, focused, and resilient in reaching those dreams. Life can often be fast and furious. We can get easily distracted with both important and trivial things that will stand in the way of our dreams. I encourage you this day. a day honoring one of our country's most prominent dreamers, to take a moment and disengage. Just relax, put on some music, and think about your dreams. Define, refine, and make commitments. Share them with those closest to you. And then, with full confidence and clarity, say to yourself, "I have a dream..." This week's quote -"A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus, but a molder of consensus."- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
