This week's focus point - Have you ever found yourself being overwhelmed by information? If you're like me, you hate that feeling. My question this week to you is - do you ever overwhelm your clients or prospects with too much information? I can answer, "guilty as charged." I've come to learn that it's important to only give your audience what they need to know, not everything you know. This came up recently in a meeting I had as a school board member with school administration. They asked what they could do better to help me with the information they provide. I asked them to tell me what I needed to know, not everything they did know. They know a lot and I don't need all of it to make a decision. They appreciated the feedback because it will actually reduce their labor intensity. It's a win-win situation. Next time you find yourself in a meeting with a client, on stage giving a speech, or trying to figure out the next family vacation, always remember to provide what they need to know, not all you know. You will find that your message is better received and you won't be overwhelming! This week's quote -"Opportunities multiply as they are seized."- Sun Tzu
