This week's focus point - | | Thanksgiving |
In an average day, we have 30,000 thoughts run through our head. I haven't ever stopped to count, but I heard this recently and figure it sounds pretty close! Out of those 30,000 thoughts you think, how many are negative? I believe that for most people, there are way too many. It's awfully easy to succumb to negative thoughts when things go badly - everything from someone cutting in front of you on the road, to stubbing your toe, to losing an account. It's impossible to stop negative thoughts from happening. However, you have control over how long they last. The quicker you can recognize the negative thought and eradicate it from your mind before it turns toxic, the quicker you will be moving forward to your next success. This week's quote -"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."- Winston Churchill
Note - I decided to keep the same quote as last week. Seemed to be appropriate.
Happy Thanksgiving!
