This week's focus point - If you were like me, you watched in sheer awe and wonder as the Chilean miners were rescued last week. 2,200 feet below the earth's surface and about 2 and a half months of exile. I can't even imagine what they went through. One thing that struck me while watching the final three men lifted to the top, was that the foreman was the final man rescued. This man was the leader and he made sure that all his men went first. Like the captain and his ship, he made sure his crew was safe. Leaders go last when it involves personal safety. They go first when there is danger. Leaders sacrifice for their people, their team, and their family by putting the others first, whether it is charging into battle, being rescued from a collapsed mine, or daily running a company or organization with integrity and courage. This week's quote -"The task of a leader is to get his people from where they are to where they have not been." - Henry Kissinger
