This week's focus point -
reaching new heights
Two weeks ago, University of Washington QB Jake Locker was considered a failure. He had a horrible game on national television against Nebraska, and the pundits were dashing his hopes for the Heisman Trophy and questioning his ability to play in the NFL. Even his hometown fans were down on Jake.

What a difference a game makes. On Saturday, Locker led his Huskies to a thrilling uset of USC in Los Angeles. It's being called a legendary performance. He's back on top of the mountain.

Two lessons learned from this. First, in sports and business it's always "what have you done for me lately?" Fame and accolades are fragile. If you want to be considered at the top of your game, you must be consistently playing your best. Second, you need a short memory. Jake Locker showed what he is made of by bouncing back from failure and winning big. We all fail at times. Our true mettle will be shown on how high we bounce back!

This week's quote -"Sweet are the uses of adversity..."
