This week's focus point - Memorial Day.
My dad quit high school on February 11, 1942, one day after his 17th birthday. That was the all-important age to join the Navy and fight for your country in World War II.
During the course of the past 244 years, brave men and women like Dad have risked their lives, set aside their futures, and sacrificed what we now take for granted to protect our freedom. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all our veterans for their unselfish giving.
They are truly the real American Idols.
This week's quote -"The pessimist complains about the wind. The optimist expects the winds to change. A leader adjusts the sails." - John Maxwell
