This week's focus point - Focus.
The legendary golfer and founder of The Masters, Bobby Jones once said, "Competitive golf is played on a course of 5 inches." Of course, what he meant was the distance between our ears.
He was right about golf, and it's also true about life. Regardless of whether it's your personal, professional, or spiritual life, your focus, attitude, and determination will ultimately determine your success or failure.
I love The Masters and spent all Saturday and Sunday glued to the action. Over the course of any 18 holes, every golfer is presented with tremendous challenges, adversity, success, and failures. The ones who persevere the best, or in golf terms, "grinds it out," will find themselves atop the leaderboard. The same goes for us. Every day provides us with opportunities, adversity, and challenges. How well we focus on the positive, "grind out" the tough times, and persevere will dictate each day, week, month, and years.
Are you focused on being a champion?
This week's quote -"I guess there is nothing that will get your mind off everything like golf. I have never been depressed enough to take up the game, but they say you get so sore at yourself you forget to hate your enemies." Will Rogers
