My Monday morning memo
This brief, weekly memo is meant to give you pause to think, reflect,
react, and ponder at the beginning of your work week. It will include
one focus point and one quote for perspective. It's meant to be quick
and to the point. No announcements, resources, or links will be found
on this memo. This is about offering value and inspiration to you to
thrive in your life. I hope you enjoy!
This week's focus point - There are several dogs on the normal neighborhood route that I walk Captain Jack. One of them, is a beautiful Siberian Husky. When Captain Jack sees the Husky, he turns into a maniacal mutt. It's as if he envisioned himself turning into the Incredible Hulk and beating up this obviously larger dog that if it wanted to, could rip him to shreds. Fortunately, the Husky is mostly amused with Jack.
Former two-time Heisman Trophy winner Archie Griffin once said, "It's not the size of the dog in the fight that matters; it's the size of the fight in the dog." Captain Jack, a small Jack Russell terrier, has plenty of fight and I imagine would win many a battle based on that fight alone.
What about you? Do you approach your business and your life full of self-confidence? Are you prepared to "fight" for your family, your business, your career? Those that battle hard all the time for what they believe in may get bloodied at times, but most often come out victorious.
You go, Captain Jack!
This week's quote - "The harder you work, the harder it is to surrender" Vince Lombardi
