The Needle News October 2011
Greetings!

We are receiving yarns, patterns and accessories weekly. It's the time of year to pull out your needles and have something to do on that cold fall evening.

From now until Christmas we are going to feature a different yarn, pattern or accessory each week. We might offer a discount. Maybe a free pattern. You never know. These features will be announced on my blog, on Twitter and on The Needle Emporium Facebook page. Make sure that you keep checking to see the deals. If you live out of town, you can take advantage as well-we will mail you yarn and patterns. These deals will not show up on the website.

On Saturday, November 5 the Downtown Knit Collective from Toronto is bringing a bus load of knitters to the store. It could be a bit jammed in the afternoon-I think they are arriving around 2pm. If you don't like crowds and were planning a visit that day then you might want to come in the morning.

Sirdar INDIE is a gorgeous, light and lofty yarn with a riot of magnificent colours in every ball - the fabulous colour effect appears as you knit. INDIE comes in a beautifully lightweight blend of 51% wool and 49% acrylic and comes in a conventional 50g ball. INDIE is fantastically quick to knit on 12mm needles and is easy for children and new knitters alike.

ondas Tip of the Week
Knitting with Ruffles Yarns

The number one complaint we get from customers who are knitting with Ruffles Yarns (Ondas, Triana, Frillseeker...) is that the yarn twists and you have to spend time flattening it out before you can knit with it.

Before you start knitting rewind the ball on a paper towel tube. This way you can spread out the yarn before you start and it won't twist.
