Romi
I first came into contact with Rosemary a number of years ago when someone brought her amazing shawl pins to my attention.
Here is Rosemary's profile from her blog
"I am a graphic designer and illustrator who started a jewelry business, Designs by Romi (shawl pins and sticks), in 2005 after getting hooked on lace knitting. These days I'm teaching and designing knitwear as well. I've also written a book of knit and crocheted jewelry using wire, beads, and fiber (Interweave Press). I've made jewelry (and knit and crocheted!) since about 7 years old, so I am having a great time doing everything I love at once!"

My attention to the shawl yarn newsletter has been lacking to say the least. Sorry for that and I am going to make it up to you over the next few weeks. There is so much to write about that it is going to take at least two newsletters. |
Haiti Designed to help Haiti after their devastating Earthquake, $5 per pattern will be donated to Doctors without Borders for their work in Haiti.
The sample is knit in sock yarn on 4mm needles | To date Rosemary (Romi) has donated $12,500 and her goal is $55,000.
You can purchase the pattern for this amazing shawl on Ravelry.
This shawl can be worked in many different weights of yarn by changing needle size. The pattern is worked in a simple lace pattern from tip to top, so that you may use greater or lesser yardage with ease, to produce a smaller or larger shawl of your choice.
