The Needle News April 2010
Greetings!

So far we have had some interesting weather in April. Easter weekend was hot and sunny and then the following Friday we had snow.

Many of you are asking about our annual Tent Sale. So far we haven't picked a date for the sale but will let you know when we do.

It's hard to believe but we are already ordering yarns for fall. Some of these are arriving over the next few weeks. This is great for the customer who wants to start a garment and have it ready for the cold weather in October.

Tips

If you are like me, you start a sweater and then put it in a bag, throw it in the closet and pull it out a few months later. When you pull it out of the bag, undo the last row that you have worked, cut the yarn and rejoin with fresh yarn. The yarn on the needle can stretch a bit and you might have a loose row. This will show more in cotton than in wool.

A piece of styrofoam works great for blocking. You can get this at Home Depot or Lowes. It usually comes in an 8' sheet and if you ask nicely they will cut it in half for you.

Friday Classes

Thursday night at Camp is a fun night with games and great prizes. There is a lot of laughter.

We encourage students to come for Thursday-you will have a chance to meet the instructors and fellow students. Registering for Option 1 also saves you fighting traffic coming up on Friday morning.

We currently have 30 students registered for Camp. Jared's Friday morning class is now closed but there is room in his three other classes.
